  1. There are several Constraints on this area (as is the case with other recent/ongoing development sites in the Gilmerton area) These include ‘special landscape area, green belt and prime agricultural area(s)’. What is the point of these designations if they are to be continually ignored? Coal mining area and radon are also identified as Constraints. What considerations are being taken into account of the impacts of disturbing these sites and the long-term effect on people’s health and the environment?

  2. Gilmerton today – despite the rather dreich weather! It s time to get out there with our positive vision for Scotland s future win GilmertonGate plans, which I m pleased to support. It s great to see the community so engaged – all thanks to local people organising!
