QuiteRoute 61: Moredunvale Road to Little France Drive (Have your say – online consultation)
The City of Edinburgh Council is planning to deliver a scheme to make it easier, safer and quicker for people crossing Old Dalkeith Road by creating a new Toucan crossing on the desire line. The project will also improve and upgrade the existing footpath linking into the Hospital and Bio Quarter. The zebra crossing within the Hospital access roads will be upgraded to allow cyclists and a new Toucan crossing of Little France Drive will link to the Bio Quarter. These changes all form part of QuietRoute 61 – please find attached Summary Sheet with background to the scheme.
View the proposals and give us your feedback
The initial design proposals can be found on the Council’s Consultation Hub, under ‘Open Consultations’: consultationhub.edinburgh.gov.uk
A feedback survey for you to share your views about the designs is included on the same webpage (see link above). We would be grateful if you could share this email with anyone interested or affected by the proposals.
Following this consultation, the next step is to develop detailed designs which can be taken forward for the necessary statutory legal processes relating to certain road changes.
We will share a summary of this consultation process and final detailed designs in the summer alongside the statutory legal processes. As part of the statutory legal processes, you will have further opportunity to respond to these aspects of the designs.
Subject to completion of these orders, we are currently aiming for construction of the proposals to commence in late 2018. We will keep you updated with progress and let you know of dates and arrangements when available.
